Paris Saint-Germain is out for revenge against FC Bayern Munich after they convinced Tanguy Kouassi to turn down a professional contract from the Ligue 1 leaders and make the move to the Bundesliga.
Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, surely has that in the back of his mind as he looks to lure one of Bayern’s talented defenders to the French capital.
One player who has been linked with a move to PSG recently is Lucas Hernandez who only just arrived at Bayern a year ago for a club-record €80 million.
According to FootMercato, a deal between PSG and the France international is close to being agreed upon but the capital club must now convince the German champions to sell.
To help move the transfer along, the report reveals that Hernandez has asked Bayern executives to allow him to leave for Les Parisiens. Even if they agree, the report continues, it will not be for a sum less than the €80 million Bayern originally paid for the player as he’s under contract until 2024.
Revenge sure is expensive.
