Let’s be honest. If Thiago Silva hasn’t received an acceptable contract extension from Paris Saint-Germain by now, he’s probably going to be leaving the club at the end of the season.
Silva isn’t a fringe player with no leverage. He’s the captain of the club and has been in the French capital since 2012 when he left AC Milan. According to a new report, the Brazil international could be headed back to the Rossoneri.
As reported by SportMediaset (via Sempre Milan), rumors of Silva wanting a return to Milan are apparently true and the 35-year-old center-back is close to agreeing to a deal with the Serie A club.
O Monstro would return to the San Siro Stadium on a free transfer and if Zlatan Ibrahimovic sticks around for another season, the two would reunite having previously played together at Paris Saint-Germain and Milan.
Losing Silva would mean PSG would probably need to bring in a center-back because Tanguy Kouassi is also expected to depart as well with Milan favored to sign him.
