Until the summer transfer window opens up, Paris Saint-Germain cannot seal any potential deal with FC Porto left-back Alex Telles.
As a result, it’s leading to several clubs looking to lure Telles away from a move to the French capital. First, it’s Italian club Juventus FC that is looking to swoop in and take the 27-year-old, however, two more vultures are looking to convince the Brazilian to change his mind and go elsewhere potentially.
A Bola (via Canal-Supporters) is reporting that Sevilla FC and RB Leipzig are joining the race for Telles as well.
For Porto, the situation is exactly what the Portuguese club wants and that is a bidding war that will hopefully bring the transfer fee closer to Telles’ release clause, which is reported to be €40 million.
When it comes to PSG’s ambitions to sign Telles, news that other clubs could make an offer isn’t a major blow. It will sting though if the newly-crowned Ligue 1 champions lose the highly-rated defender to Leipzig. According to L’Equipe, the Bundesliga club are also close to signing PSG’s Tanguy Kouassi to a professional contract. Pulling off both signings would definitely leave a mark on PSG’s ego.
