Report: PSG Set to Bring Back Tuchel for Another Season

All season long, there was speculation as to what Paris Saint-Germain sporting director, Leonardo, would do with current manager Thomas Tuchel.

The Brazilian didn’t hire the German, and usually, when there’s a new front office figure, they want to bring in their coach. Reports were surfacing back in February of Leonardo eyeing Lazio’s Simone Inzaghi as a possible replacement.

Furthermore, opening the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League with a 2-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund didn’t help Tuchel’s case to remain in charge. The seat was undoubtedly hot for the 46-year-old.

However, as PSG advanced past his former club with a 2-0 win at the Parc des Princes, the German has bought some time to see out this project. According to L’Equipe, the capital club is bringing back Tuchel for the 2020-21 season.

With the assurance of having another season at the helm of Les Parisiens, it will be interesting to see if it changes Tuchel’s coaching style when the Champions League potentially resumes over the summer.
