PSG’s Top Ligue 1 Goals of the Season (2019-20): Neymar’s Game-Winner Against Strasbourg

Sadly, the 2019-20 Ligue 1 season is over far too soon due to the coronavirus crisis.

Facing several months before the UEFA Champions League potentially resumes, I’ve decided to look back at what was an eventful campaign that saw Paris Saint-Germain crowned champions.

I’ve already graded the players on their performances but now it’s time to announce PSG’s 10 best goals from the season.

Remember, these are goals from Ligue 1 competition only, so you won’t see any goals from the Champions League or the domestic cup competitions.

2. Neymar’s Bicycle Kick

Paris Saint-Germain needed a bit of magic to escape a 0-0 draw against RC Strasbourg last September and Neymar Jr. was the player who ultimately provided it. With the match into stoppage time, Abdou Diallo played a ball into the box for Neymar and with his back to goal, the Brazilian somehow was able to get a boot on the ball and fire it past the Strasbourg goalkeeper for the game-winning goal. This was Neymar’s first time in a PSG shirt after a summer full of transfer speculation about his return to FC Barcelona. This goal helped remind PSG fans why he’s worth having in the squad.

Find out which PSG goal is #1 on my list of top goals from the 2019-20 Ligue 1 season.
