Sadly, the 2019-20 Ligue 1 season is over far too soon due to the coronavirus crisis.
Facing several months before the UEFA Champions League potentially resumes, I’ve decided to look back at what was an eventful campaign that saw Paris Saint-Germain crowned champions.
I’ve already graded the players on their performances but now it’s time to announce PSG’s 10 best goals from the season.
Remember, these are goals from Ligue 1 competition only, so you won’t see any goals from the Champions League or the domestic cup competitions.
3. Cavani Scores 200th PSG Goal
Edinson Cavani was already Paris Saint-Germain’s all-time leading scorer heading into the but scoring his 200th goal is a milestone that we may never be surpassed. With Mauro Icardi taking most of the starting minutes, it wasn’t a sure thing that Cavani would score his 200th goal this season but against Girondins de Bordeaux, El Matador got the start and took full advantage. In the 25th minute, Angel Di Maria whipped a cross into the box, and Cavani scored the kind of header he’s become known for.
