For me, the situation with Tanguy Kouassi is extremely disappointing.
The 17-year-old center-back is one of the best talents to come through the PSG academy in recent years but he doesn’t seem to want to continue his development at Paris Saint-Germain.
Kouassi hasn’t signed a professional contract and is free to leave after June 30. A contract has reportedly been on the table for months but the fact that the Frenchman hasn’t signed it leads me to believe he wants to go abroad.
The long-time favorite to land Kouassi has been RB Leipzig and it was recently reported that they had “tied up” a deal for the versatile defender who can play center-back and defensive midfielder.
However, according to L’Equipe, Kouassi would be “very tempted” to join AC Milan especially if Ralf Rangnick, who is the Red Bull Head of Sport and Development, joins the club as manager and technical director.
Rangnick: "I already said there was contact between the parties [to join Milan] some time ago. With the coronavirus crisis there are things more important currently. For me to be convinced to accept such a challenge many components have to be combined."pic.twitter.com/rQs7QDFnND

As much as I would like Kouassi to remain in the French capital, it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen. The only consolation, especially if he joins Milan, is for Leonardo to pick off several of their best players.
