You can go ahead and cross off Jadon Sancho’s name if you had him on your Paris Saint-Germain transfer window wish list.
Earlier this year, ESPN reported that Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, had identified Sancho as a possible replacement should Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr. depart.
This was before the coronavirus pandemic really impacted the world of football and now, both of PSG’s superstars seem destined to remain in the French capital for another season while Sancho has reportedly limited the number of teams he would leave Borussia Dortmund for to three.
According to journalist Guillem Balague (via Le10Sport), Sancho is not sure if now is the time to leave the Bundesliga club given the financial situation due to the coronavirus and the unwillingness to spend big. However, if the England international were to leave Dortmund, Balague believes it will be for Manchester United, Chelsea FC, or Manchester City.
Sancho is a quality player but he’s not better than Mbappé and Neymar. I’m fine with PSG missing out on the 20-year-old.
