The ball is in Inter Milan’s court now after a report from Sky Sports revealed that Paris Saint-Germain has put forth an offer of €50 million, plus €10 million in add-ons, for Mauro Icardi.
PSG have made an opening offer of £44.7m (€50m) plus a further £8.9m (€10m) in add-ons for Mauro Icardi from Inter Milan.

The news isn’t surprising. It’s been reported for days that PSG wanted a discount on Icardi who is currently in the French capital on a season-long loan from Inter Milan. When the 27-year-old arrived in Paris, his loan included a €70 million option to buy clause but the coronavirus has caused the Ligue 1 champions to be a bit more frugal with their money this summer, thus their reduced offer
Sky Sports also reports that Inter Milan could bring Edinson Cavani to Serie A once his contract at the club expires at the end of the season. With Icardi likely to remain at PSG and Lautaro Martínez possibly joining FC Barcelona, they’ll need a quality striker and Cavani would be a good fit for them.
Everything hinges on Inter accepting PSG’s reduced offer and then the dominos will fall from there.
