Kevin Trapp, whose biggest accomplishment while being the starting goalkeeper at Paris Saint-Germain might have been catching the eye or Rihanna, is apparently still a fan of the club.
The German shot-stopper spent three seasons at PSG before going out on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt for the 2018-19 season and then made the permanent move to the Bundesliga club this season.
Trapp continues to remain in touch with his PSG teammates and was even featured in an Instagram Story from Neymar Jr. last October.
During an Instagram Live broadcast (via Le10Sport), Trapp discussed his love of Paris, revealed that he was supporting PSG in their tie against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League, and his most fond memory of being the PSG goalkeeper.
“I spent three years at PSG and it didn’t take me long to love Paris, the city, and the club. I still have my apartment in Paris…Paris is in my heart. I’m a supporter of PSG. For example, against Dortmund, I sent a photo with a PSG jersey to Thiago Silva. I really lived three magnificent years, but if there is a really good memory, it is my first match against OM, when I stopped the penalty and that one wins the match 2-1. Everyone was talking to me about this match against Marseille, that it was hot, etc… We played a good match that day, it was very tight and in the end, you take a penalty and you win for your team. Everyone was very happy. Especially for my first Classico. It remains special to me.”
Unfortunately, Trapp couldn’t turn that love for Paris and PSG into consistent play on the pitch and the club eventually moved on to Keylor Navas who has had a stellar debut season in the French capital.
