Marquinhos and Family Traveled to Brazil During the Coronavirus Crisis

Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, players on the Paris Saint-Germain squad have gone about different ways of quarantining themselves and their families.

Players like Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes decided to remain in Paris while others such as Neymar Jr. and Edinson Cavani went back to their respective home countries.

Marquinhos was the lone Brazilian to remain in the French capital, but according to Le Parisien, the 26-year-old has headed back to Brazil to self-isolate for the remainder of the period of confinement.

The French news outlet is reporting that the PSG defender boarded an Air France flight with a “few dozen” passengers heading to Caraguatatuba.

With Les Parisiens not being able to train until the end of June, it seems as though Marquinhos wants to head home to be closer to family.

Brazil is starting to see a spike in cases and deaths related to coronavirus, so he’s taking a risk by heading home. Nonetheless, with the majority of their families in the South American country, it’s understandable why they prefer to go back.
