‘I’ll Walk to Paris to Pick the Senegalese Prince Up…’ – Everton Fans React to Gueye Potentially Leaving PSG

Idrissa Gueye arrived at Paris Saint-Germain last summer from Everton FC and played an important role throughout the season. However, according to a recent report, his time in the French capital may be cut short.

The Senegal international made 31 appearances for PSG this season, including 20 in Ligue 1 and six in the UEFA Champions League. Gueye had some bright moments during the season, like his performance against Real Madrid and the Parc des Princes, but he had stinkers as well (away match against Borussia Dortmund).

Gueye’s inconsistent play is likely the reason why journalist Roberto Carlo recently tweeted that Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, is open to selling the 30-year-old midfielder.

Everton fans were sad to see Gueye leave and there’s no question that he’s a fan-favorite amongst the Evertonians.

With this recent news, fans of The Blues took to Twitter to share their desire to see Gueye return to the Premier League.

Not everyone is sold on the idea of a reunion with Gueye…
