Video: Neymar Turns to His Artistic Side During Lockdown

Neymar Jr. is a man of many talents and recently showcased his surprising ability to play the piano via his much-followed Instagram account.

The Paris Saint-Germain superstar returned to Brazil last month at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic and has been in isolation since at his luxury compound.

While we’ve seen images of Neymar staying in shape and even heard from his trainer about how he’s preparing for the return of football, but a recent video shows a completely different side to the 28-year-old.

Sitting down at a white Tokai piano, which I assume is very expensive, and wearing a Kobe Bryant jersey, Neymar played a couple of songs that he learned including, “All of Me,” by John Legend.

I’m not piano aficionado but to me, Neymar’s rendition sounded pretty good! I would recommend that he leave the vocals to a professional like Legend, though.

Neymar’s love of music is well documented. My favorite recent example is from March 11, when PSG battled Borussia Dortmund at the Parc des Princes in the UEFA Champions League. As both teams entered the stadium, Neymar blasted music loudly while singing as his opponents watch from behind. He went on to score a goal and mocked their best player to the point where his father had to defend him in the media.

While I certainly appreciate Neymar’s skills on the piano, I think we can all agree that we can’t wait to see him back on the pitch again soon with PSG.
