Let’s get one thing straight. Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé do not post anything on social media without carefully considering the messaging and impact. That’s what makes two recent posts by the Paris Saint-Germain superstars very interesting.

Neymar’s post came first and includes a photo of him with the “eyes” emoji, which is sometimes used when someone is trying to allude to information that hasn’t been made public yet.
Less than a day later, Mbappé shared a photo of him with the message, “Everyone is talking, but nobody knows…”
What could these two posts mean? They certainly seem coordinated given when they were shared and their mysterious nature.
We know that the club is preparing to offer Neymar a contract extension and that they remain positive that Mbappé will extend as well. With the Ligue 1 season now over, could negotiations be heating up with both players intending to commit long-term to the PSG project?
I think it’s safe to say neither player will be leaving this summer with clubs reeling from the financial impact of the coronavirus. The cost of signing Mbappé and Neymar will be far too high for any club, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona included, to afford.
With no PSG football until August when the UEFA Champions League is supposed to resume, it would be a real boost of morale to the fanbase if these two players announced a signed contract extension to remain in the French capital for years to come.
