Nearly a week has gone by since reports were saying that Paris Saint-Germain was on the verge of obtaining FC Port left-back Alex Telles.
With a potential price tag between €20 million to €25 million, some were surprised at the cost and why other clubs weren’t rushing to acquire him.
Well, it looks as though PSG will have some competition for the 27-year-old after all as Juventus FC attempts to get in the race, according to Tuttosport (via A Bola).
The Portuguese club is hoping for a bidding war as they’re in some financial troubles and would like to sell Telles for €40 million, which is his release clause.
Although PSG would like to bring another Brazilian player to Paris and fill a need, Les Parisiens won’t overpay for the left-back. The capital club is looking at other options like AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez and Real Madrid’s Marcelo.
It will be interesting to see how high PSG might be willing to pay in a potential bidding war or if they’ll look elsewhere.
