Paris Saint-Germain is set at goalkeeper…for now…but with an eye on the future, they would be wise to make a run at Ajax standout Andre Onana.
PSG has been linked with Onana in the past but it was reported that he preferred a move to Chelsea FC. Tottenham Hotspur and FC Barcelona are also keen on signing the Cameroon international.
Despite several high-profile clubs chasing the 24-year-old, former goalkeeper Khalid Sinouh believes Onana would be best served in the French capital where he can learn from Keylor Navas and eventually take over the starting job.
“Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Real, and Atlético Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. They all have a fantastic goalkeeper who will be the first goalkeeper under the bar for a number of seasons,” Sinouh told Voetbal International. “I think Paris Saint-Germain is a good club for him. With Keylor Navas they still have a goalkeeper who is a bit older.”

Navas will be 34 this December and you have to wonder how many years he has left playing at an elite level. If Onana is willing to learn from him for a season, I think he would be the ideal replacement for Navas and would almost certainly mean PSG would sell Alphonse Areola who is currently on loan at Real Madrid.
