With Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais level at 1-1 in the Coupe de France semi-final, Neymar put in a challenge worthy of a match of this stature.
The forward tracked back all the way to Keylor Navas’ penalty area and made a diving challenge to break up a potential cross. It was a fantastic effort that you would expect a center-back like Marquinhos to make.
Neymar did limp off at halftime and there was some concern that he wouldn’t be able to continue but the Brazilian came back on for the second half, further proving his desire to lead PSG past Lyon and into the finals of the French Cup.
PSG will need Neymar at the top of his game with next week’s home fixture against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League. A resounding win in that match would see PSG reach the quarter-finals of the tournament.
