Paris Saint-Germain defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 inside an empty Parc des Princes on Wednesday night and advanced to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League for the first time since 2016.
Neymar Jr. scored his second goal of the tie in the 28th minute—a rare diving header at that—and Juan Bernat doubled the lead in stoppage time right before halftime.
Miraculously, PSG held on for the final 45 minutes and kept a clean sheet against one of the most prolific attacking teams in Europe. It was exactly the type of performance PSG fans hoped for but rarely see especially at this stage of the Champions League.
It was a shocking victory and one that will be remembered in Paris and around the world for years. After the final whistle, social media lit up with hot takes, memes, criticism, and a lot of butt-hurt PSG haters trying to take away from the win.
I combed Twitter so you don’t have to and found the best of the best. Enjoy:

3) PSG never really did solve the Dortmund puzzle, but did just enough offensively
4) Kehrer was tremendous, so was Bernat, so was Gueye, so was Cavani. The individual defending was heroic in a sporting context. #PSGBVB

Yeah…Dortmund deserves everything they got tonight. Especially Haaland..dude needed to be humbled a bit. #PSGBVB https://t.co/fUDbYFjFWZ
