PSG Owners Close to a €135M Takeover of Leeds United

After months of speculation, the Qatar Sports Investments takeover of Leeds United could be coming to its conclusion.

QSI would like to expand its portfolio into English football after dominating France the past decade and they have set their target on the Championship side.

According to 90min, Leeds owner, Andrea Radrizzani, continues to talk takeover with Paris Saint-Germain president and QSI chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi with a deal likely to be in the range of €135 million.

That’s a very reasonable price for a team that is poised to achieve promotion to the Premier League as they have a one-point lead over West Bromwich Albion in the Championship table.

However, football is on pause due to the coronavirus pandemic and if the season isn’t completed, it’s possible Leeds may not be promoted at all.

Either way, we’ve seen how QSI’s finances can transform a club so whether they achieve promotion or not, this is no doubt exciting news for Leeds supporters.
