Mbappé Masked Amid Coronavirus Concerns; PSG Players Educate French Citizens

Paris Saint-Germain canceled training in the aftermath of the Ligue 1 season and UEFA Champions League being suspended until further notice due to concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus.

Players are now at home in an effort to isolate themselves so that they don’t become infected like several other players and managers around Europe.

Neymar Jr. posted a black-and-white selfie on his Instagram Story showing him wearing a mask that is typically used in cold weather. In the photo, Neymar used included the caption, “Corona Out.”

Kylian Mbappé, who was very ill earlier this week to the point where he wasn’t able to start against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday and required a coronavirus test (which was negative), also posted an image on social media showing him wearing a surgical mask.

The photo was posted today but it makes you wonder if this was a photo from last Tuesday when the Frenchman was tested. Mbappé has a concerned look on his face as he sits with his hands folded so it’s certainly possible.

Mbappé, along with Marco Verratti and Marquinhos, participated in an instructional video from the French government showing citizens what they can do to protect themselves from the coronavirus.

For the next few weeks at least, this is our new normal and it will be awhile before the football returns. Stay safe everyone.
