The 180th edition of El Clásico last Sunday ended with Real Madrid defeating FC Barcelona 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium with second-half goals from Vinícius Júnior and Mariano being the difference for Los Blancos.
There was plenty of star power on the pitch for both teams but some fans are already thinking about future clashes between the two biggest clubs in Spain.
During the #AskGuillem video segment from Sport, journalist Guillem Balague was asked who he sees as the future stars of El Clásico and are they already in their respective squads or will they be brought in? In his response, Balague named two Paris Saint-Germain superstars.
“[Kylian] Mbappé and maybe Neymar Jr. Neymar for Barcelona and Mbappé for Real Madrid. Those are the two they want to get. Of course, if they come in, they will be the stars of the Clásico.
It’s no secret that Real Madrid desperately wants Mbappé and last summer, Barcelona was close to bringing Neymar back to La Liga but they never came to a suitable agreement with PSG.
Whether those two players leave this summer depends on how PSG performs in the UEFA Champions League this season, which makes the match against Borussia Dortmund on March 11 vital for the future of the club.
