Coronavirus Concerns Force PSG to Disinfect Entire Stadium Ahead of Meeting With Borussia Dortmund in Champions League

We still don’t know what impact the coronavirus will have on Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday but the club is doing everything possible to minimize the impact.

As reported by L’Equipe, the cleaning company that typically works at the Parc des Princes has spent the past few days disinfecting the stadium including areas used by the public and players.

Everything from the seats to the elevators has been sprayed down in an effort to convince health and government officials that the stadium is safe for the public. The French publication also reveals that the stadium could be opened earlier to fans to avoid the bottleneck that typically happens closer to kick-off when everyone is trying to get into the stadium at once.

PSG and UEFA have no say over whether the highly-anticipated match will be postponed or played before closed doors. Local authorities in Paris will make the decision and hopefully, we hear something soon with the match just three days away.
