The goal was created by Kylian Mbappé who cut through the Dortmund defense and leaped over a diving Dan-Axel Zagadou in the box to pick out Neymar Jr. wide open in front of goal.
The connection that PSG supporters thought they would see early and often had been far too quiet in the match and it wasn’t until Erling Haaland’s opening goal did PSG pick up their intensity.
With an away goal, part of PSG’s mission in Germany is completed but given their history of crashing out early in the Champions League, more goals would make fans feel a lot more comfortable heading into the return leg at the Parc des Princes.
