The 1970 Podcast: Dissecting the Dust-Up Between Mbappé and Tuchel

The 1970 podcast is back and we have a lot to talk about after Paris Saint-Germain’s 5-0 win over Montpellier HSC on Saturday evening.

On this episode, I’m joined by Marc Damon as always and we switch things up a big by going right into our main event topic.

In the 68th minute, Thomas Tuchel took off Kylian Mbappé and when he reached the sideline, the two exchanged words and the Frenchman was visibly upset with the fact that he was being removed from the game.

We discuss the entire situation and whether or not it’s a reason for supporters to be worried as the UEFA Champions League is set to resume play in the knockout phase in a couple of weeks.

We also discuss the win against Montpellier overall, our biggest injury concern, whether or not supporters should be worried about Borussia Dortmund, Neymar’s birthday party, and we wrap up by discussing the transfer window and PSG’s lack of moves.

The show concludes with us answering some listener questions from Twitter.
