Neymar Forced to Shave Head After Dyeing Hair Neon Pink

Neymar Jr. was out of the squad that won 4-2 against Olympique Lyonnais last Sunday as he recovers from a rib injury but he did make an appearance in the stands.

The Brazilian was photographed wearing a bright yellow vest, mirrored sunglasses, and a baseball hat. Last week, we saw Neymar in training wearing a hat as well and now we know why.

Revealed on social media on Monday, Neymar was forced to shave off his neon pink hair, which he’s had since the match against Montpellier HSC on February 1, and is now sporting a more traditional look.

Neymar likely made the change early last week because he was photographed at his birthday bash on Sunday, February 2, sporting his pink locks.

According to Le Parisien, who spoke to a dye specialist, Neymar probably had no choice but to shave his head because, in order to achieve the vibrant pink look, Neymar would have had to dye his hair white and then pink. The expert indicates that the color would likely fade after six shampoos before it starts to fade and that it could be damaging to the hair.

Whether he has pink hair or sporting a military look, no other player in world football can get the media to talk about their hairstyle quite like Neymar.
