Manchester United Fans Took the News About Di Maria Hating Their Club as Well as You Would Expect

Angel Di Maria managed to trigger the entire Manchester United fanbase on Tuesday without even saying a word.

In an interview with Polish YouTube channel Foot Truck, Paris Saint-Germain’s backup goalkeeper, Marcin Bulka, stated that Di Maria “hates Manchester United” and that “he has no good memory of the time he spent there.”

Bulka continued by saying that Di Maria can’t even stand to watch the Red Devils on television.

“When something related to Manchester United appears on television, he changes the channel quickly.”

Di Maria arrived in Manchester from Real Madrid in 2014 after the club paid a British record transfer fee of 59.7 million, per BBC.

The Argentina international wouldn’t see out his five-year contract with Manchester United and in fact, he only spent one season with the club before departing for PSG in the summer of 2015.

Issues with the manager, Louis van Gaal, safety concerns, and the difficulty of the Premier League ultimately led to Di Maria pushing for a move to the French capital.

Since Di Maria’s departure, Manchester United fans have made it no secret that they hate him and resort to calling him a “snake” whenever his name pops up in the news.

Last season, Di Maria returned the favor during a UEFA Champions League match between the two sides. After a Presnel Kimpembe goal, Di Maria shouted expletives at fans and would later pretend to drink out of a beer bottle that was thrown at him.

There is real hatred on both sides of this feud and so it was expected that Manchester United supporters would respond to Bulka’s comments about Di Maria…and they didn’t disappoint.
