Neymar Jr. was officially out of the Paris Saint-Germain squad that won 4-2 against Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday at the Parc des Princes, but he made his presence known in a different way.
As the players were coming out of the tunnel to begin the match, television cameras caught Neymar making his way to his seat in the stands wearing a hat, mirrored sunglasses, and a vibrant yellow vest that begged viewers to make a joke. I couldn’t resist myself.

I wasn’t the only one it would appear. Ander Herrera, who didn’t make an appearance in the match either but was on the bench, posted a photo of him and Neymar with the caption, “Good victory and it’s great to have the visit of a plane director signals.”

Neymar has previously said that he does not like to watch football when he’s not playing so it’s interesting he would wear a bright yellow vest to make it easier for cameras to pick him out of the crowd.
The 28-year-old Brazilian was left out of the squad as he continues to recover from a rib injury suffered against Montpellier HSC on February 1. He’s expected to return to action mid-week against Dijon FCO in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France.
