‘A Dying Breed in the World of Football’ – Twitter Reacts to Cavani Scoring 200th Goal for PSG

Although there was some frustration over Paris Saint-Germain’s 4-3 win over Girondins de Bordeaux, most can agree that the high point of the match came at the 25th-minute-mark.

Edinson Cavani leveled the score at 1-1 but more importantly, his goal was the 200th of his career with the capital club.

With the match being at the Parc des Princes, PSG manager Thomas Tuchel decided to start Cavani in hopes that he would score in front of the home supporters.

Soon after becoming the first PSG player ever to reach the 200 goal plateau, the Collectif Ultras Paris and the rest of the Parc des Princes began serenading the Uruguayan.

In what will likely be his last few months with the Parisian club, Cavani is putting his name to more PSG records before he departs in June when his contract expires. These are some of the reactions from Twitter as the 33-year-old further solidified his status as a club legend.
