Video: Neymar’s Blonde Hair, Mbappé Bopped on Head, Workout Warrior Cavani

After a much-deserved 11-day break over the holidays, the entire Paris Saint-Germain squad returned to the Ooredoo Centre this week to prepare for the grueling second half of the season.

In an entertaining video posted on the club’s YouTube channel, fans are taken behind the scenes of the first training session of 2020.

The video features several notable moments that deserve to be highlighted…

:10 Presnel Kimpembe suffered a significant hamstring injury against Montpellier HSC last month and the initial prognosis was for a return in January. There’s been no update on his recovery but from the video, he appears to be in good spirits and moving around well.

:52 Kylian Mbappé sticks his head out of the door that leads from the training facility to the pitch. As the Frenchman looks around, a football smacks him in the back of the head unexpectedly.

2:30 Keylor Navas shows no signs of slowing down as he repeatedly dives on the pitch to make save after save.

2:42 Edinson Cavani is another 30-something player who is putting in significant work. Here, PSG’s all-time leading scorer is shown doing chin-ups with ease. Cavani missed several games towards the end of 2019 due to illness and muscle injuries so it’s certainly good to see him working his way back to full fitness.

2:59 Neymar returned to Paris with a new hairstyle after what looked like a fun time in South America over the holidays. It’s back to business though for the Brazilian as he’s shown several times intensely working out.

3:26 Leandro Paredes and Cavani show off their technical ability with a one-touch passing game between each other.

Paris Saint-Germain takes on ESA Linas-Montlhéry, a club in the sixth tier of French football, in the Round of 64 of the Coupe de France on Sunday at the Stade Robert-Bobin in Bondoufle.
