Video: Neymar Displays Brilliant Control Before Firing PSG Into the Lead Against Lille

Neymar Jr. makes it look so easy sometimes.

With the score between Paris Saint-Germain and Lille OSC deadlocked at 0-0 in the 28th minute, the Brazilian pulled out his bag of tricks and scored the first goal on the night and his 14th of the season in all competitions.

The move started with Neymar receiving a pass from Angel Di Maria and controlling it off his chest and volleying a pass to Marco Verratti. The Italian faked a shot and that opened up enough space for him to pass back to Neymar who curled in a shot past former PSG keeper Mike Maignan.

According to Opta, with that goal, Neymar has now been involved in 100 goals for Paris Saint-Germain (65 goals and 35 assists). It’s a good sign that Neymar is healthy and performing at a high level with the UEFA Champions League tie against Borussia Dortmund coming up on February 18.

A win will see PSG extend their lead at the top of Ligue 1 with second-place Olympique de Marseille drawing against Angers SCO on Saturday.
