Video: Icardi Sets Up Easy Tap-In For Sarabia to Double PSG’s Lead Over Pau

Paris Saint-Germain took control of their matchup against Pau FC (National) in the second half and a trip to the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France appears to be all but confirmed.

Leandro Paredes, the captain for the match, scored in the first half for PSG and that’s where things remained until the 53rd minute in the second half.

Paredes played a ball into Pau’s penalty box and Mauro Icardi sprinted onto it while holding off a defender. Icardi then created separation and was able to play a pass towards goal where Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was making a run. The Cameroonian’s shot was blocked by a defender but the rebound spun towards Pablo Sarabia who scored on a wide-open goal to double PSG’s lead.

It was a nice move from all three of PSG’s attackers and just what was necessary with Angel Di Maria and Kylian Mbappé on the bench and Neymar Jr. out of the squad entirely.

Hopefully, manager Thomas Tuchel won’t need to call on either of his talented strikers and PSG can see this match out comfortably.
