It took Paris Saint-Germain two minutes to get on the scoresheet against AS Saint-Étienne with Mauro Icardi scoring his 15th goal in 19 total appearances for Les Parisiens.

The goal gets better the more you watch it. Thomas Meunier played a perfect through ball to Icardi who twisted his body so that he could hit the shot with his first touch and from a very difficult angle, the Argentine beat Jessy Moulin who will be disappointed with his efforts in stopping the shot.
If PSG can maintain their lead and defeat Les Verts, they will advance to the semi-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue where they hope to win the title in the last year of the tournament’s existence.
This is the second match of 2020 for PSG. Last Sunday they defeated ESA Linas-Montlhéry in the Coupe de France. The reigning French champions are still competing in four competitions (Ligue 1, UEFA Champions League, Coupe de France, and Coupe de la Ligue).
The deep squad that Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, put together this summer will be tested in the coming months.
