Report: Paquetá to PSG Could Happen But AC Milan Want Draxler, Herrera, or Paredes in Return

It’s well known that Paris Saint-Germain would like to sign AC Milan’s Lucas Paquetá in the January transfer window to bolster their midfield. The only issue has been the price.

Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, signed Paquetá 12 months ago when he held the same position at Milan. At the time, he paid €35 million for his compatriot, via Diario AS, and the Rossoneri would like to recoup as much of that transfer fee as possible if they’re to sell to PSG a year later. However, Leonardo has never committed to more than €20 million for the 22-year-old according to SempreMilan.com.

There’s a €10 million gap between what Milan wants and what PSG is prepared to pay. The solution, according to Tuttosport, via MilanNews.it, could come by way of a player swap.

According to the Italian publication, Julian Draxler, Ander Herrera, or Leandro Paredes could be sent to Milan in exchange for Paquetá.

With the recent injury to Marquinhos, I don’t love the idea of losing Herrera as he could play a vital role in the UEFA Champions League given his experience. I think PSG could move on from Draxler and Paredes but whether that will be enough to get the deal over the line remains to be seen.

  1. We must demand at least 60 million+Paredes from Pagueta! Because Leonardo is trying to fool us, and find replacement for Neymar in Pagueta!
