With the pending departure of Layvin Kurzawa, Paris Saint-Germain will likely be in the market for a left-back this summer.
Although Juan Bernat has outperformed everyone’s expectations, the capital club is eyeing a potential world-class left-back in FC Bayern Munich’s David Alaba, according to Le10Sport.
Per Transfermarkt, the 27-year-old Austrian will enter the final year of his contract next season and so Bayern Munich has a decision on their hands. The German club can extend, sell, or let him leave on a free at the end of his deal.

Furthermore, in a recent interview with Sport1, Alaba sees both staying and leaving as options.
“I can imagine both: staying here or taking a different route. At the moment, however, we have goals here, and I want to achieve them with Bayern Munich.”
If PSG doesn’t want to wait until the 2021 season to obtain the Austrian on a free, then perhaps Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, can start the discussion of a potential transfer in the summer with the German club. Bayern does have Canadian Alphonso Davies ready to take over at left-back, so there’s a possibility of a deal if the money is right.
Also, the two clubs do have a good relationship since they were able to agree to a deal for Juan Bernat—even if PSG got the better of that one. When Kurzawa does eventually leave the French capital, Alaba will make quite the replacement for the Parisians.
