Pear-is Saint-Germain: Club Launches Craft Pear Juice From Training Center

Paris Saint-Germain’s first official announcement of the January transfer window wasn’t a world-class right-back or promising midfielder. Instead, the club announced the release of their artisanal pear juice. I’m not kidding.

According to the club’s official website, the beverage was served at the Parc des Princes during the match against FC Nantes on December 4.

A total of 1,000 bottles of the Made in PSG Training Center pear juice will be available throughout the rest of the season to fans in the hospitality sections of the stadium.

The source of the juice is none other than the grounds of PSG’s state of the art training facility that is slated to open in 2022. In an effort to be more environmentally conscious and self-sustaining, the club created two orchards with more than 2,800 trees that feature seven different varieties of pear.

If you don’t have a trip to the Parc planned this season, fear not, the plan is to continue producing the PSG-made pear juice for years to come as they look to offer the most unique fan experience possible.

Credit to PSG for thinking of a unique way to engage with fans and help the planet at the same time.
