Mbappé Describes Liverpool As ‘A Machine’ That Wins, Wins, Wins

On Monday night, Kylian Mbappé officially launched his charity called “Inspired by KM.”

The organization aims to help 98 children, ages 9-16, to achieve their dreams by offering them additional help and unique experiences. Participants come from different social backgrounds and the number of kids in the program is a reference to the year Mbappé was born.

“Since I was a child, I dream and I still dream. I want to give back and be able to help the youngest, Mbappé said as reported by Le Parisien.

At the event, Mbappé spoke about Liverpool FC, a team that has been linked to the Frenchman despite their manager, Jürgen Klopp, insisting they cannot afford him.

“What Liverpool do at this moment is amazing,” Mbappé said via the BBC Sport. “They’re like a machine, they’ve found a rhythm and are like ‘we play again, we play again.'”

“They’ve lost zero games. When you watch you think everything’s easy but that’s not easy. The guys are focused, they play games every three days and they win, they win, they win.”

“Now the problem is that everybody watches Liverpool, and everybody watches what we can do against them, so now they have to show they are strong again but it’s a very good team with a very good manager.”

This isn’t the first time Mbappé has spoken about Liverpool. Last summer, he mentioned that he uses the Merseyside club when playing the FIFA video game and he has “liked” photos of Liverpool players on social media.

Mbappé is under contract at PSG until 2022 but the fact that he hasn’t signed an extension with the club yet has only fueled speculation that he could depart in the summer transfer window.

While Liverpool will likely not be able to meet PSG’s asking price, Real Madrid is more than willing to offer a substantial transfer fee plus a player to sweeten the deal.

We’ll likely know more about Mbappé’s future as PSG progress in the Champions League. A deep run in the tournament could convince him to stay while an early exit could leave him exploring his options.
