AC Milan’s Paquetá Fuels Transfer Speculation By Following PSG on Instagram

The latest news involving AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paquetá and his potential transfer to Paris Saint-Germain this January takes a turn towards social media.

As reported by Culture PSG, the Brazilian is now following PSG on Instagram in a move that will only spark further speculation that the former Flamengo star could be heading to the French capital in the coming weeks.

PSG’s sporting director, Leonardo, originally signed Paquetá 12 months ago when he held the same position at Milan. Now that he is in Paris, Leonardo wants to bring him, compatriot to the reigning French champions but for considerably less than what he spent to bring him to Italy.

Leonardo’s affinity for his former players could even lead to him not only signing Paquetá but also Milan’s captain Alessio Romagnoli for a whopping €80 million according to CalcioMercato.com.

Today, La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolò Schira confirmed that talks between Paquetá’s agent and PSG continue with the player preferring a move to the Ligue 1 giants.

With all of the noise surrounding this transfer and him “liking” PSG on Instagram, this appears to be a deal that is likely to cross the finish line in January and will be a huge boost to the midfield where manager Thomas Tuchel could use some reinforcements.
