Mauro Icardi’s time at Inter Milan was full of controversy that ultimately led to him being stripped of the captaincy and the Argentine refusing to play for the club. This led to the 26-year-old being loaned to Paris Saint-Germain last summer with an option to buy clause for €65 million per The Guardian.
Wanda Icardi, Mauro’s wife and agent is a television personality in Italy and on the show Tiki Taka, she lowered the boom on her husband’s former club after they crashed out of the UEFA Champions League group stage.
"It would be great to see Lukaku score in big games too, now he'll watch the UCL from the TV"

I mean…she’s not wrong here.
Inter signed Romelu Lukaku for €80 million, per the BBC, and banked on him replacing Icardi. It was a good idea on paper and the Belgium international has scored 14 goals in 22 total appearances, but, the failure in the Champions League cannot be overlooked.
Lukaku missed the first match against FC Barcelona with a muscle injury and only managed to score two goals in the tournament, which wasn’t enough to propel his side past Borussia Dortmund for second place. It’s a shame really as PSG ended up drawing Dortmund in the Round of 16. Who wouldn’t want to see Icardi against his old team in the Champions League?
This isn’t the only dart Mrs. Icardi has thrown at Mauro’s former club. On CR4: La Repubblica delle Donne, she essentially said that her husband joined a better and more important team.
Talk about kicking a team when they’re down. I love it.
This season, Mauro Icardi has scored 14 goals in 18 appearances including five goals in six Champions League matches. That’s how you get it done when it matters.
