Leandro Paredes scored his first goal for Paris Saint-Germain in the first half to put his side up 1-0 over AS Saint-Étienne at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard. Shortly after, he was on the receiving end of a vicious tackle from Jean-Eudes Aholou.
For his efforts, Aholou received a straight red card reducing Les Verts to 10 men for more than an hour left in the match.
After some treatment, the Argentine appeared to shake off the tackle and continued to play. PSG can ill-afford more injuries to their midfield with Ander Herrera, Julian Draxler, and Idrissa Gueye already out missing this match against Saint-Étienne.
