Leandro Paredes netted his first goal for PSG and it was one of the more spectacular volley’s you’ll ever see. The move started with Angel Di Maria playing a ball out wide to Thomas Meunier who then crossed into the box.
Juan Bernat was on the receiving end of the cross and fired a decent shot towards goal but it was cleared off the line. The ball was lofted high into the air and when it came down, it met the foot of Paredes who struck a low, hard shot that bounced right in front of goal and past Stéphane Ruffier for PSG’s first goal on the night.
With Neymar Jr., Kylian Mbappé, Mauro Icardi, and Di Maria all in the lineup, few would have expected Paredes to get on the scoresheet but that goes to show the kind of form that he is in at the moment.
