Video: PSG Races Past Le Mans With Two Goals in One Minute

It’s always a good day when Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting gets on the scoresheet for Paris Saint-Germain. It’s even better when Kylian Mbappé joins him.

Against Ligue 2 bottom-dwellers Le Mans at the MMArena, Paris Saint-Germain showed no mercy by scoring in the 21st minute and then adding two more goals in the span of a minute (40th and 41st).

The first came from Choupo-Moting in a somewhat cheeky manner. Angel Di Maria was fouled outside the box and when the ball came to a complete stop, Marco Verratti played a ball over the top to Mbappé while the Le Mans defenders watched helplessly. The Frenchman crossed over to Choupo-Moting for the easy tap-in.

The second goal came shortly after and it came via another ball over the top of the Le Mans defense. Verratti was once again the catalyst and his long pass to Mbappé was expertly taken with a sublime first touch. The Frenchman fought off the defender and blasted his shot past Pierre Patron to put PSG up 3-0 before halftime.

PSG appears to be on their way to the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue and hopefully win the title after falling short last season.
