It took a half-hour for Paris Saint-Germain to get warmed up on a chilly night in the French capital but once they did, the flood gates opened and the goals poured in.
PSG welcomed Galatasaray SK to the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night in the final matchday of the UEFA Champions League group stage. With first-place already confirmed, the game was largely looked at as a way for PSG to round into form with the knockout phase of the tournament looming.
After watching the first two goals of the match, you would have to say the team is starting to click.
The first was scored by Mauro Icardi who practically walked the ball into the back of the net. Kylian Mbappé assisted the Argentine and with the keeper way out of position, it was an easy finish to put PSG up 1-0.

The second goal from Pablo Sarabia was a bit more spectacular. Neymar’s dribble into the teeth of the Galatasaray defense attracted a lot of attention and he passed out wide to Sarabia. After a few step-overs, the Spaniard fired a low, hard shot past Fernando Muslera for PSG’s second goal on the night.

Both players arrived last summer and continue to make a large impact on PSG. Icardi’s goal was his second against Galatasaray and his fifth so far in the Champions League. Sarabia has proven to be a great option off the bench and with Marco Verratti in danger of suspension due to yellow card accumulation, he got the nod and rewarded the manager for his decision.
