Video: Keylor Navas Makes Acrobatic Finger Save Against Amiens

It was hard to see in real-time, but on slow-motion replay, Keylor Navas made one of the best saves of the season on Saturday against Amiens SC.

Keylor Navas Save vs. Amiens

Paris Saint-Germain won the match 4-1 with goals from Kylian Mbappé, Neymar Jr., and Mauro Icardi, so this save will probably be overlooked, but when I saw it I jumped out of my chair.

Perhaps the ball was already going to hit the crossbar, but Navas didn’t know that. The ball was whipped in off a free-kick and directed on target where the Costa Rican was perfectly positioned. His cat-like reflexes were fast enough to get a finger on the ball and ensure that it wouldn’t hit the back of the net.

Navas, who arrived last summer from Real Madrid, has been so good that fellow PSG Talk contributor Eduardo Razo named him the best goalkeeper of the decade for PSG.

Against his former team in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, Navas made 10 saves to keep his side in it long enough to mount a comeback from two goals down.

Navas has been one of the best signings in recent memory and if PSG is to win the Champions League this season, it will be because the goalkeeper keeps them in games that they otherwise wouldn’t.
