Thomas Tuchel Isn’t Expecting New Additions at PSG in January

Last year around this time, Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel used the word “scared” when talking about the need for recruits during the January transfer window. This time around, the German has a different tone when talking recruits.

When talking with Canal+ (via CulturePSG) after PSG’s 4-1 win over Amiens SC on Saturday, Tuchel was laid back in response to a question about the upcoming transfer window. He went on to say there’s a possibility of new recruits coming to Paris, but that it’s not necessary.

“I am very satisfied and very happy with the current team,” Tuchel said.

Furthermore, in the same interview with Canal+, Tuchel had intriguing words for the media when it comes to the transfer window. The 46-year-old went on to say that if they want information on potential transfer targets to speak to sporting director Leonardo and not him.

In the eyes of PSG’s coach, no additions are necessary, but most PSG supporters would disagree. A right-back and tall midfielder are some additions fans would like to see before they take on Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
