With the January transfer window around the corner, rumors are starting to heat up. One name that’s appearing quite often is Argentinian Leandro Paredes.
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has seen his name in a possible swap deal, which would send him to Juventus FC along with Thomas Meunier. Coming the other way would be Emre Can and Mattia Di Sciglio. However, Juve isn’t the only Italian club inquiring about the 25-year-old.
According to La Repubblica (via Calciomercato), Napoli is also looking to bring Paredes to Serie A. In the article, Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is a fan of the Argentine because of his experience in the league when he was at AS Roma.

Although De Laurentiis would want to bring Paredes to Naples, he admits that it’s a complicated situation due to Juve’s interest in the player as well. PSG may also decide to keep him. He’s one of the taller midfielders, which sporting director Leonardo is looking for, and he’s been in good form lately. He even thought he scored his first goal for PSG against AS Saint-Étienne but it was eventually awarded to Neymar Jr. as he got the final touch on the ball.

If Leonardo does choose to part ways and sell Paredes to the highest bidder, it appears that he will have plenty of suitors in Italy and that money could be used to fill the club’s need for quality full-backs.
