PSG’s 50th Anniversary Logo Revealed

Next season, Paris Saint-Germain, a club founded in 1970, will celebrate its 50th anniversary. To mark the occasion, vintage kits are rumored to be in production for the 2020-21 campaign and a special logo will be implemented as reported by Culture PSG.

The logo, which looks similar to the current crest except for a “50” on either side of the Eiffel Tower, appears in two books set to be released on Christmas. While the publisher is the one who released images of the new logo and not the club, one eagle-eyed PSG supporter noticed the new logo being used at the Parc des Princes during the match against Amiens SC on December 21:

While plans are underway to celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary, the 49th season could be the finest in the club’s history. Paris Saint-Germain is currently top of Ligue 1 and is in both the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue. They also topped their group in the UEFA Champions League over Real Madrid and with a winnable draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16, PSG has a very good chance at winning the silverware they covet the most.
