After Paris Saint-Germain defeated AS Saint-Étienne on Sunday evening, manager Thomas Tuchel described the potential draw against his former team Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League as “special.” Well, the German got his wish.
On Monday, the Champions League draw took place and Paris Saint-Germain was one the first team to learn their fate as their ball was paired with Dortmund’s. The return of Tuchel to Signal Iduna Park confirmed.

Fan reaction to the draw was overwhelmingly positive. While no one believes the match will be a cakewalk for Les Parisiens, it’s a new team that PSG hasn’t faced in recent years and the atmosphere for both games in the tie should be absolutely electric.
That was the one I wanted so badly 😍 Bucket list time ✅✅ https://t.co/lQicsds2kj

PSG will and should be the favorites to win this tie. While the German has a number of young and talented footballers in their squad, they lack experience on the big stage. Players who could cause PSG trouble include Marco Reus, Julian Weigl, and Jadon Sancho. Former PSG defender Dan-Axel Zagadou is also in the squad for Dortmund but I don’t expect to see him get many minutes.
Nice of us to give Jadon Sancho a trial. https://t.co/ZYUF4gaREh

PSG will travel to Dortmund on February 18 for the first leg of the tie and the return match will be on March 11. The full Champions League schedule can be found on PSG’s official website.
