Paris Saint-Germain welcomed FC Nantes to the Parc des Princes on Wednesday in a Ligue 1 clash between two of the top teams in the French league.
Manager Thomas Tuchel’s starting lineup featured Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé for the first time all season as both have missed time due to suspension and injuries.
In the pre-match buildup though, some supporters expressed their displeasure with Neymar who if you remember, tried to use his own money to facilitate a transfer from Paris to FC Barcelona.
According to ESPN‘s PSG correspondent Jonathan Johnson, the Brazilian was booed pre-match and it would have been louder if the stadium was at capacity.
For those asking, Neymar was booed pre-match… Just not that much as it is not exactly packed to the rafters here! #PSGFCN

This isn’t the first time Neymar has been jeered by his home supporters. Against RC Strasbourg, the 27-year-old heard the collective voice of the Ultras aimed at him.

The relationship between Neymar and the supporters had been getting better but it’s hard to forget what the forward tried to pull off this past summer. Many find it disrespectful but as with most things, winning cures all.
