Having already gone up 1-0 thanks to Mauro Icardi’s strike in the 17th minute, Di Maria followed that up in the 31st minute with an accurate shot from inside the box.
The move was started by Neymar Jr., who had played spectacularly in the first half and pulled off one of the best passes you’ll ever see.
The Brazilian was eventually pushed off the ball by the Lille defenders and Julian Draxler picked up from there. The German took a couple of touches before picking out Di Maria on the wing who did the rest.
The move capped off a lethal move from PSG in a somewhat unexpected performance. Coming off the international break, I expected a somewhat sluggish performance but clearly, the PSG squad was eager to get back into a PSG kit and score goals.
