Video: Draxler Assists Di Maria for Spectacular Chip Goal

In front of their home crowd, Stade Brestois gave Paris Saint-Germain everything they could handle for the first half-hour of the match. Ultimately though, it was Angel Di Maria who would break the deadlock and net the first goal of the game for the visitors.

In the 39th minute, Julian Draxler, who was a somewhat surprise in the starting lineup, played a perfect through-ball to Di Maria who was racing past Brest’s high line.

Once the Argentine was on the ball, there was no catching him. Fideo raced towards goal and chipped the flailing keeper to put PSG up 1-0.

There was a brief video assistant referee review but it ultimately determined that Di Maria did stay onside and the goal counted.

PSG currently leads Brest 1-0 at halftime.
